I have a co-worker that owns a bit of land near Pittsburg, and is trying to manage the deer population, but is having the usual trouble with hogs, too. The question came up as to feeding cut alfalfa to the deer, in order to reduce the use of conventional corn feeders and try to eliminate as much attraction to the hogs as possible. The place is almost 600 acres, low fence, and they do have several food plots planted that the hogs don't seem to care about. Anyone have any experience feeding alfalfa to whitetail?
