.22 will kill anything you shoot at if the bullet is put in the right spot. It's illegal to shoot deer. My little one was 17 months old in the pic above with her single shot .22 and killed the hog deader than a hammer with her .22

I can't begin to count how many hogs I've killed with a .22LR in their ear, most of them in the trap. But, used to take my .22 to the blind with me and hand corn them up to about 25 yds. Pop 'em in the ear or between the eyes and they are DRT.

Dispatched many a hog in the trailer with a 22lr. While not legal to shoot in the city limits, I can get away with it a whole lot easier than a centerfire to hang em up on the skinning rack.

I have killed plenty of hogs with a 17 hmr and 22 lr, most times it was what I had on me while riding around, never went after them with one on purpose though. I will shoot at a hog with a sling shot if it was the only thing I had. As for deer, I am sure many poachers have been arrested using a 22 on deer

Haha.. a co-worker found out the hard way a 22 will kill deer very effectively. He also found out how smart the game warden was too! 3 deer= mucho $$$$

Deer = Illegal but probably no one would admit ...

Hogs in a Trap it's OK but for Big Females or Boars = 22 Mag or 9mm. I know a lot of people don't care because it's a Hog but any animal deserves a humane kill. I've seen plenty of Big Hogs soak-up 6-10 22 LR shots before they're done ... Right behind the ear and they got up as if to say that all you got ...

Biggest hog I ever killed was 385 on scales. 22LR right behind the ear. Dead. As far as deer? HELL I WAS RAISED IN EAST TEXAS!!! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I can promise you there's still many deer to this day killed with a one eyed dog and a 22LR around the country.
