Did I just score on Craigs List - buffet

I was cruising the Free part of CL, and found this free buffet in my neighborhood. The owner says it was built in Central Texas, in either the 1920's or 1930's. The hardware on it looks more like the 1950's.

Regardless, this is free furniture for my soon-to-be-built barndo.

Opinions on age/value are what I am looking for.

Look for a manufacturer stamp inside the cavity or on the bottom of drawers, might find a date

Maybe on the back as well. Looks like 50s to me. Great find. I'm sure it's solid wood. Try and find that quality in a furniture store today.

Sounds like a trap, "it puts the lotion on its skin".

Look at the drawers and see if they are dovetailed. If so, thats good. And cant tell from the pic, but is the glass beveled?

By the way the legs are notched into the top, I kinda suspect shop made. The handles look more recent, but it looks to have old key holes. If the old locks are still on the inside of the drawers, you can date it pretty good with those.

Free is always a good deal. Hardware doesn't looks like '20s or 30s to me but I've been wrong before. If you mind a makers market shoot me a pm, my FIL used to specialize in restoring antique furniture

Need a lot more pictures of seams from front, back, and drawers. If it's antique/rare/collectible then you need to find someone to market price the piece for you. We had a family member who recently passed away, and we were offered pennies on the dollar from several estate sales companies. We ended up selling for full retail value.
