What are y'all changing up next year?

I'm going to move my current bow setup a little closer to one of my rifle spots in a perfect spot where I watched nilgai and deer cruise through this season. I will put my feeder up there and probably set a popup blind or maybe a tripod in this area.

I also will only hunt bow season in the beginning and then wait until the late season when the rut kicks in to hunt with my rifle. We pressured a lot of deer hunting early rifle season and they are on camera now everyday since there's no pressure on them.

So let me know what you guys are going to be doing different this year.

I'm already getting in shape for the mountains. Last year I did not prepare enough and it showed in my hiking ability. Got to where I needed just not fast enough.

The wife and I strictly bow hunt, year-round. We have two sets and we always see crazy numbers of bucks at my wife's 23-panel pen, but 750 yards away, about half as many at my 15-panel pen. So, we increased my pen size to see if that makes a difference. Our neighbors closer to the wife's pen probably don't feed as well as the neighbors closer to my feed pen and maybe that has something to do with it. We'll see.

Moving one feeder the pigs have created a mud hole under. Moving it to an area with a slight tilt to it.

Have to get rid of my tripod and ladder blinds. Getting where it is hard for me to
feel safe in them. Getting old so have to force my self to stay on the ground or I may find myself flat on the ground with something broken

Moving a ground blind. Adjusting two tree stands to increase height by 5' on each, so Ill have some shooting lanes ill have to cut. Putting up a new ladder stand. That is on my home property.
Also will be setting up my lease for better bow hunting. Couple of hang-ons and a pop up to put out. doing a lot of winter-time scouting right now. Gonna run a camera survey there in August.

getting rid of 1 feeder all together and puting a tree stand or two up along a power line right of way that the deer seem to love traveling the edge of and at creek crossings

on spot 1 I want to build a nice blind that me and my son can rifle hunt out of for his first full deer season.

on spot 2 I am thinking about putting up a ladder stand in place of a pop up, but not 100% sure yet.

on spot 3 I want to put up a new stand on the other end of the property and also get rid of the climber that I used out there this year, probably going to go with 2 tree stands or the pop up from property 2.

I think I'll mainly use pop ups for bowhunting next season except for one spot I have a tripod at now that is absolutely money. I feel I can hide a lot better in a popup than a tripod down here in Deep South Texas.

All your plans sound good, hopefully you get a good one this season.

I like pop ups as well but didn't get a shooter in bow range this year and in the back of my mind blame the pop up lol. My best 2 deer are all over the cam right now though with the pop up still out so I think of it was just a matter of luck.

It's all about placement as well, the spot I have in mind that I want to setup this weekend should be perfect to try and get my first deer with a bow. I'll set the feeder this weekend and wait until august or so for the popup so it doesn't get rundown by the weather.
