When I started bowhunting I had a buddy warn me about the problems of shooting in low light with a peep sight. I researched some and found the No-Peep and ordered one. They are a little bit of a pain to set up on your bow but once you get that done they work great. That same buddy now has them on his bows. Basically all it does is confirm that you are anchored correctly. After a while you will get to where you won't do anything but see it in your peripheral vision. I have since taken mine off and now shoot off the string.
I use it on both my bows.
I couldn't see through a peep in low light conditions from inside a ground blind- which cost me a nice 10 once. Won't happen again.
Thought about one, but I do not use any rear sighting device anymore..consistent anchor, tip of nose, and when pin is "touching the right side of the string" I am in shooting position
I've used one and they work. The suggestion on a 2-man team to set it up is true, it will save you a lot of time.
One benefit of them for night hunting is what Shotgunsmitty on TBH does, and he gave me one when I saw him last in Austin at a TBH get together. He puts a piece of shrink-tubing on the clear, front plastic tube and puts a tiny cyalume stick inside (Cobra sells them for illuminating their Sidewinder sights in states where electronic sights are not legal- like Colorado) and then shrunk it with a match. He'd make up a bunch at one time.
Then when he was hog hunting, he'd snap the cyalume stick inside, and slide it on the No Peep. At night, it was illuminated for shooting with illuminated pins.
I have one I bought it from Bonedgger here on the sight...love it...if you have a peep just leave it on till you get the no peep adjusted then take the peep out. I now shoot with much better form from habit, and could prob. pull it off now with no problem.
If you have trouble with low light or shooting from a dark ground blind this does the trick...
Highly recommend.
Hey check out Kingsway archery also........I bought one but yet to mount it to my existing sights. Waiting for this season to finish before I even consider putting it on to see how it works.......got the back sight jig on ebay ......
Bought one last year from someone on this sight...put it on this summer...spent the time to tune it....and now...it works great...love that low light shooting and my string is NEVER blocking my line of vision
