Didnt want to hijack the other thread. We bought an acre lot and seeded the yard with what was apparently some old/no good bermuda seed last year that did not germinate. So half the yard with good seed was started, the other half is all (currently dead) aster as I sprayed it with roundup last fall. My plan is to disk the aster portion of the yard and seed once the weather is warm enough. Is there something I should do first to kill any aster still in the ground that wont affect the bermuda seed or just something I will have to deal with as the seeds sprout?

Whatever you decide, get on that aster early. It is a pain in the butt.
We had it in our yard in Liberty Hill. The most effective way I found of killing it was digging it out by the root with a claw hammer.
2 4 D was probably 70% effective on it. Just to guesstimation. -
Yeah, it took over pretty quickly this year. I just dont want to spray anything that will keep the bermuda seed from germinatingComment

2 4d won't keep the grass seed from sprouting It just kills weeds not grassComment

Just have to be real care full with 2 4d. it can kill stuff three blocks away if wind is rightComment
