Ok, serviceable was a bad choice of words PLUS, I've always argued he doesn't get the run support he deserves either.
I get that it can be frustrating at times to watch him pitch. There are definitely times where he needs to challenge batters more rather than going for the strike out. He's got all the talent in the world but can be frustrating.

I'll agree that he can be frustrating at times, but 'serviceable' isn't the correct adjective to use to describe Yu. AJ Griffin can be serviceable.
Back when Gomez played in Houston we would prefer a strikeout over him putting the ball in play because it usually resulted in multiple outs. That was a tough one right there in a tie game.
