    Best pre-emergent

I want dirt, nothing but dirt for a long time but I don't want to hurt 2 old cedar trees.

Last year I broadcast Preen and it did OK but not great.

What is suggested and when to apply. My options are mid February or mid March. Location is northwest Texas, Fisher County.

Corn gluten meal, heavier the better.

        Places that sell organic fertilizers.

I think I misread Bbos intentions though. It won't kill everything, just sterilize the seeds it contacts when dissolved, and it's a natural fertilizer for grasses.

I'm not a yard nerd, but my dad is. He uses it fall after the grass browns and late winter before it comes out. Read up tho, I could easily be a little off with some of this.

It doesn't appear that Barricade kills the grasses etc.

Anyone have any experience with RM43? It reads like it will result in the bare dirt I am looking for.

Serious Weed Control™ For Up To A Year! RM43 is your solution for total vegetation control on bare ground or for spot control of brush, vines and more than 150 weeds. It kills existing weeds and prevents future growth on walkways, roadsides, fence lines

You know that red dirt turns to red epoxy sludge every 5 years when it rains, right?[emoji15]
