Abilene is not Canada.The weather here is the same as the weather in the Junction area where axis and other exotics thrive (and where lots of critters dropped like flies in the big freeze a couple years ago). Lots of people have axis and other exotics around Abilene and further north. There are a bunch of them in the Panhandle, where it's typically colder than Abilene and the Hill Country.
