    What's your preferred crappie line?

Curious as to what type of line everyone uses on their crappie poles?

I've been using 6lb mono but thinking of switching to high-vis with a fluorocarbon leader.

Mostly vertical jigging and some casting.

I use hi-vis suffix braid, also used mr crappie 6lb hi-vis mono with good success.

I use yellow braid. Fishing brush piles I can straighten the sickle hooks with it if I get snagged. I hate losing my jigs to a broken mono line or losing a big flathead.

I use 6lb clear blue stren on bridge rods and dock shooters and 10lb vicious Florocarbon on timber rods. Have 10lb braid on a couple rods use it mainly in deep water in winter time.

So, do you come to this brush pile often?

My favorite Crappie pick up line is, "You sure got some pretty fins n spots babe. How's about let's go roll around in the cornmeal and go for a quick swim 'til we float?"

I've seen your boat there a few times.

I have always used hi-vis mr. crappie mono. I ordered some of the cheap braid from Amazon to try this year - 1,000 m for $20.

For general vertical jigging I use 6lb Vicious mono in high vis yellow.

In the spring when im killing them in 3ft brush on the banks, I have my 11ft rod spooled with 6lb suffix high vis braid.

No need for a floro leader in my opinion.
