Buying a video camera

Any advice is appreciated. I am buying it as I will behaving a kid here soon....but we all know the real reason!

My brother has a JVC GZHD6 120Gig and loves it. I have seen the videos and it really works good. They normally run $800, he snagged on eBay for $450.

I have a Sony HandyCam that is the Hard Drive type....HDD 80gig I think.....I've taken over a year of videos (All short ones like Christmas, Birthdays etc...) and I still have room on the hard drive....it's amazing. I like Sony electronics...They all work really well.
