This dog found his way into my yard a few days ago. My wife has taken him to the vet to see if he has a chip and he doesn't. She's put him on our neighborhood facebook page, the Next Door App, and the city of Mesquite animal control website but no one has come forward to claim him.
I'm not in a position to repair my fence to keep him because I'm remodeling the inside of my house so I can't control his movements. He seems like a very good natured dog and someone has worked with him because he will sit when you tell him to. His left eye was pretty swollen when he showed up, we gave him some benadryl and it seems much better now although you can see in the pictures that he still sometimes keeps it closed. I'm not sure what he is but he's about the size of a Lab. He isn't fixed and I have no idea about shots, also I think he was an inside dog because he seems to want to come inside so he may be house broken. The vet thought he was about a year old and I'd agree with that.
I'm sure he would make someone a great companion. He's located at my house in Mesquite. I'll have to take him to the shelter soon if I can't find someone to take him.
