Is a 5x8 utility trailer large enough

For any utvs on the market? Thinking about buying a Mule or something similar and selling my atv. Really like my Dads Kubota utv and how it handles.

I have a tandem 6 x 12 and a ranger Crew. The lift gate touches the bed and the front wheels touch the front of the trailer

Keep in mind utvs are way heavier.

I'd go atleast 6' width and get a tandem with a brake axle.

Always nice to have that extra axle in case you blow out a tire or something going down the road

I run a Kubota and it will not fit on a 5X8, I'd go 6x12 at a minimum personally.

I'd agree with getting a 6x12 , not sure f the 5x8 would be big enough
I use a 6x12 for my mule , it works well

6x16' is what we use. I strongly recommend tandem axle. You would hate to total a new $15,000 mule because you only had one axle if something were to happen. I lost a wheel bearing in mine on the way home last year, scooted the Mule over to the opposite and limped home at 55 mph. But I was able to get home and wasn't stranded

I sell Polaris, Kawasaki, and CanAm UTVs and we do not have much that will fit on a 5x8. I would make sure whatever you get is 6' wide and at least 12' long.

Weight is going to be a big issue on that size of a trailer. Sounds like you have a tandem handy.

                      no way

Ranger won't fit a 5 foot wide trailer

Our JD 4 seater does fit on the 6x12 but you can shut the ramp gate. And I mean it fills that trailer up..no room for anything else. We traded for a 7x14

12' or longer is what you need. Most four seat utv's are around 10' long or more

I use a 16', and makes it handy when going to lease, which is about the only time I trailer it. Always needing room for extra stuff, implements, feeder, etc. Not a lot of weight diff from a 12 to 16.
