I cannot speak for Stonewall but in Kent Co we lease 8800 acres on the salt fork. We are running about a deer every 35 acres. What have seen a few deer in the upper 150's. Our southern neighbors have shot some huge (up to 170) deer in the last 2 years. This year there were almost no 4 or 5 year old bucks. Lots of pigs. I think most ranches in the area are over hunted. I would not run more than a hunter very 700 acres. A hunter every 1000 acres would be ideal. You will see deer of all age classes. In the last 2 years we have harvested several bucks that were 8+. I rarely saw that in the cross timers or hill country. Depending on how big the place is you are looking at and what sort of utilities it has I wouldn't pay more than about 5/acre to lease.

Hunted a place for a couple of years with Burnadell. Property was on the double mountain fork and had wheat. Tons of deer and hogs with good quality. I have no experience with tracts without both or either but would highly recommend if it had at least one.
