    Bobcat kittens

This weekend at the deer lease, me and a buddy got brave enough to explore an old mobile home that is by our camp. It was infested with rat droppings. This was a really old mobile home. There was even an old solunar table from a newspaper clipping from 1963. Well, we found an old hot water heater in one of the closets and when my buddy noticed it wasn't hooked up, he pulled it out of the closet and he jumped back. He yelled "Cats!". There were three kittens hidden back there. One slipped out of there and the other two stayed. We thought they were feral cats at first, but on a closer look we discovered they were bobcats. We went back to camp to get the camera. We cautiously went back in and took a picture, but got out before mom showed up. I thought it was kinda cool and figured I'd share.

Dang, that's cool! I would have been tempted to take one home with me, but I know better.

I was really tempted to bring one home. If I thought they would stay that small it would have been an easy decision, but my lab hates cats and this one would give it a run for the money at some point.

What an experience. They are cute babys but, just think what they would do to your wife's drapes or your recliner??? LOL!!!!

Unfortunately, I won't be back down there until Friday. I plan on checking on them then. I would try to find them a home if they weren't in good health. As of now, they look to be doing fine so I'll leave them to mother nature.
