    Attracting hogs

I know, be careful of what you ask for, but we have a ridiculously convenient lease with no hogs seen on 3 years. I'd like to have a chance to shoot something outside of deer/turkey/dove season.

How do you suggest attracting hogs now through the season?

    Corn usually works the best

Maybe pig oil on a tree?
Pig out/ buck candy/ bb2 whatever you wanna buy??

Corn? If you want to get fancy, then sour the corn for a few weeks before you dump it. We will take a post hole digger and dig a hole a couple of feet deep and fill it with soured corn. They'll make a wallow getting to it and keep coming back

Pig-out mixed with hand corn works for our hogs

I never see pigs at my place. When I want to hunt pigs here in the off season, I throw out about 50 lbs of soured corn and milo. I also bury 50 lbs of soured, rotten milo to keep em hangin out. It works at my place.

If you have corn feeders, and have not seen pigs in 3yrs, there probably aren't any around you. You can't attract something that isn't there!

I'd ask the landowner if they okay with hog rooting up the place first.

I have hogs in the neighbors land in the valleys. I own the top of the hill and they won't come up to my land. I corn all year, I tried sour corn, and I tried sow in heat. Nothing worked.

They move around so don't get discouraged if you're not seeing any. Once you establish a food source they should come around. Took us about 2 years of feeding before they found us. We weren't looking for them either. You probably have a few passing through from time to time right now.
