Actually looks like you don't have to have one under certain circumstances.

It's just good info for people.

You need a license to hunt hogs. You don't need a license for hog depredation.

Hunting is for sport and most likely taking the hogs home to eat. If you are in a blind you are most likely hunting in the game wardens eyes.

Depredation is just killing them because they are tearing up your land and leaving them lay for the buzzards and coyotes.

A license is cheap so quit being a cheap *** and buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then you are covered either way.

Read the original post again. OP is specifically talking about folks "hunting" hogs in Texas...resident and/or non resident. [emoji1474]

Ummm. I think you should read it again.

He's talking about shooting a hog. Not hunting.

Ok. Maybe the word "hunting" in the title threw me off. Lol.

              I rarely read those...

I agree that we should all purchase hunting licenses though.

He implied hunting, which isn't the right thing to do.

That is just wrong all the way around. What was the disposition? What was the GW reasoning for the ticket?

That's not enough to warrant crap! I hope you fight it and don't pay it because the GW was wrong. I will gladly represent you for free if you want to take this to trial. I'm not a lawyer but I use to watch Judge Judy and the people's court!

Cheaper to just buy all licenses than getting fined.when in doubt get a licenses anyway...

GW confirmed OP was given false information, what is stated in TPWD is the correct and up to date policy concerning this issue.

What licenses does a non resident need to hunt hogs?
