Question for those with Defibrillator Implants

Have any of you with the implant under your pectoral muscle ever torn a lead from the device? I had an issue/accident today and pretty sure I tore my pectoral muscle (heard/felt it). Going to have it interrogated tomorrow, but want to know if it's even possible to tear a lead loose?

Never had mine tear or break. How long ago did you have your implanted? If you don't mind, shoot me a PM with your diagnosis, and what dr. you use! I'm in Chambers co., not too far from you!

Had my first one installed a week before my wedding in 2007. Replaced in 2014 with a battery expectation of 14 years! I told my dr. "They can make a battery that monitors you 24/7 that last 14 years, but they can't make a cell phone battery that lasts more than a day?

I have seen a few at work. The leads are just stuck into the heart, they are not sutured. It happens.
