O'Brien Ranch / Beeville area

Dose anyone know anything about this ranch and the area. I would like to know how big the ranch is. The quality of range and wildlife.

IRRC it was around 11,000 acres. But I recently heard they were splitting it up. There was a 190 class buck killed back around 2010 on it during in that really wet year. That area south of Beeville was mainly larger ranches that had good numbers of deer.

I think they have more land than that. I just got off of one of their lease pastures and it was 1800 acres by itself. And I find it hard to believe they are splitting it up. From what I have seen it is a tight knit family that has no intention of splitting up or selling off.

Now this is why I am asking. I was told it is part of a very big ranch. I did some research and it seams at one time the ranch was maybe 15k acres and now the tax roll is very hard to fallow and it dose appear to be broken up.

I have also heard wonderful things about the family and have never heard anything about them selling off. if you have info to help please share.
