I tried one...I'm 5'9" and my head was rammed up to the top with a normal sized stool. Good luck moving around to get a bow or rifle up to take a shot. It was a good place to take a nap and drink a beer or two out of the wind. That was about it.
I think it's designed for a quick set up for a rifle hunter. Even with a rifle, you'd almost have to set your rifle up on a bipod or field pod type device with the barrel sticking out of the window. Wife got me one (with good intentions of course), but I immediately took it back as soon as I set it up in the living room.
I did once. Not enough room to bowhunt. I took my stabilizer off and sat caddy corner. Still not enough room. Kinda funny cause a great buck came out and when I drew the bottom of my riser got caught and I lifted the whole blind up trying to aim.
Haha, funny you mentioned this. I actually got a doe with a bow out of one, but it was more out of stubbornness because I really put some work in to set it up in the spot I had it.
I could only draw in the diagonal direction, and I had to crouch down really low and just right to avoid my limbs from smacking the roof on the release.
As stated earlier, it's fine for a quick set up for rifle hunting or scouting.
I've got a couple of that style blind by other mfgs that are almost identical in size. I'm shorter in statue. But have to draw diagonally or corner to corner. Then swing around to the small window for the shot. Big window open is not a problem drawing with arrow hanging out. But smaller window can be for some folk. That is what made the hub style blind so popular, the added room to draw.
