I was driving from the Denton area today (after spending a couple of hours shooting my new Halon 32 at CCR and checking houses) about 12:30p and as I was heading south on 161 between Belt Line and Valley View Lane I look to my right and see a sounder of about 15-20 pigs cruising the swollen river banks.
This area is Sam Houston Trail Park and if you know it, you know it floods with any amount of rain. I had my range finder, so I quickly exited and reversed as far as I could. I ranged them at 265 yards. I had my bow with me and was wishing hunting was allowed there because I would certainly have stalked them.
Does anyone know the area and where is the closest place which allows bow hunting?
I don't have pics because they were too far for my phone camera to capture anything.
