Broadheads for Javelinas

Like the title says, what broadheads do ya'll use?

shoot a rage they are thin.. I hate rage heads and would never shoot one at a buck but a jave is thin enough that it will blow through them

Never thought about them being thin. Hit one with an 85 grain montec last night, and never found arrow or hog, just marginal blood trail. Shot was well placed. Arrow may have just blown through him.

I've used muzzy and its worked. I also used a 2 blade vortec with the 2 1/2" blades and the javi went about 8 yrds. If you use a fixed blade try to shoot them in the head so you dont have to chase them. After you shoot them they run in a big circle so keep that in mind because I had one cross its own blood trail once before.

I used a 125gr. thunderhead on the one I killed. Center punched him, he ran towards me stoped about 15 yards from me he ran about 20 yards inside the brush, I checked my pants for solids, and he was dead. Worked great for me! I was only using around #60 and a 420gr arrow.

over the years i have bought different heads that have been on sale. so for javi's i use the cheapest heads in my hunting box.

Javi's are tough little critters as well, although any broadhead will do as long as it is sharp and place int eh right spot on the javi..............
