Looking for an inexpensive ram or exotic hunt

Both Thompson and Wildlife Ranch are your best bets. Thing I like about Wildlife Ranch is you can walk up to the rams and check their horns for defects and their coats for lushness before deciding which one you want to pace out to 100 yrds and shoot.

You can also pick whether or not you want a recently sheared sheep or not... not exactly the "hunt" I was looking for. But you will kill something.

Thompson Temples place is pretty and there are a lot of rams. Prices aint bad either. We stayed at the motel in town, as the lodging is less than desirable, but you kill a ram!

At Thompson Temple, are the hunts guided at all? Do they put you in blinds? Or do they pretty much let you walk and stalk and pick your ram like a DIY hunt?

TT will let you choose. When we used to have big TBH group hunts (we still have a few each year) most of us would spot and stalk. Sheep are pretty dumb, but his ranch can be hard as heck to hunt.

Drive down to Mills Co. Commission Company on Thursday, pick you one out, and buy it. Take it to your place, turn it loose, then go shoot it. Simple.

Give Tatonka Creek Ranch a call. They have rams, some pretty cheap, and it’s a pretty challenging hunt and the bunkhouse is pretty decent.
