Rolling Oaks Mall states CC holder should not have had gun

Not sure what to think about this one. I do not understand how companies do not understand highly publicized laws like 30.06 and 7 signs.

I read two of the three links and saw nothing about any legally posted 30.06 or 30.07 notifications at the entrances. Did I miss something

Mall policies create these situations IMO.

The last link stated there were NO 30:06 signs posted.
They just had a "no guns allowed" line in code of conduct, which Im sure all shoppers stopped and read before they entered the establishment.

In Austin, most places have one or both signs. They're making a political statement more than anything. If someone walked into a Whole Foods on a shooting spree, and you happened to be carrying and shot him dead, I doubt they'd press charges for violation of the sign.

This is one thing I wish Abbott would get fixed. I've gotten to the point that I don't even carry because I just have to leave it in my truck everytime I go somewhere.

          1. If I ever go to that mall again, I will be carrying.
          2. If they want the mall to be a gun free zone then they need to have adequate security.
          3. Only in the movies is a guy with a Walkie talkie considered security.
          4. If a CHL takes out a threat quickly, ignorant people start thinking there was never a threat.

Doesn't make sense in a city that you can carry your gun into the capital and they'll treat you like royalty. Just need to stay away from places that don't allow you to carry. Or don't worry about it.

I wonder if the mall will file charges against the one robber who was arrested and violated their one line part about no guns and not allow him to come back into their mall? Some people are just plain stupid and that mall director is at the top of the list for now.

I carry concealed and don't worry about signs since I conceal nobody will know unless I use it and at that point I'd rather be tried then buried I think I can beat an unlawfully carry charge if I shot someone who was going to or already had killed people
