For me it would be four. Maybe five if we count feet and body positioning.
Right hand pointer knuckle right where my jaw hits my ear.
String in the corner of my mouth.
String just touching the tip of my nose.
Bow hand situated just where I like it.
Rat should be along shortly with a well thought out and explained answer.
During most shooting it is just my thumb knuckle under my ear and my nose on the string, but when shooting hogs at night it is much more involved since I can't use the peep. Feet, hips, back, shoulders, shoulder blades, grip, and then finally the thumb knuckle and nose to string.
Actually, hunting at night and having to set my form blind with a bunch of "anchor points" has made me realize I probably no longer need a peep
please expound if you aren't currently killing hawgs to beat Skeeny!
Well technically an anchor point would be under my ear lobe, or just behind it in that soft spot and my reference point would be the string on the tip of my nose.
Thumb knuckle in the soft spot under my ear and the tip of my middle finger in the corner of my mouth. I went back and forth with 1-4 anchor points until I finally got comfy where I'm at now with 2.
