The deer my wife hunted all season (in the pictures) hopefully made it through. Only had 2 daytime pictures of him all season and then he disappeared early December. I'm going to pull cards this weekend so hopefully he'll show back up. Have a couple of good youngsters that made it through which I was very happy about. I have some trigger happy neighbors around me.
Deer season ended and I finally have two shooters show up pretty regular on my hand corn spot. Still same 3 does made it through the year on my stand where my water tank blind is. Hopefully they all hang around for another 9 months, I'm gonna get a protein feeder out sometime so maybe that'll hold them in the area a little bit
No pics except of a 6" dia cedar tree rub I stumbled across in the deep woods during a short day hunt. The rub is from this season and shavings still on the ground at end of the season. Trying to figure out how to hunt the area for NEXT season...6" diameter, gotta be a big buck.
A friend has a small place near Kerrville. After regular season was Youth season. Kids could still shoot bucks. He invited us to come up to get an 8 point cull buck. Really nice buck for a kid. But the buck did not show. So in the early part of next season he invited my son back for another try! Looking forward to that!
So last year my buddy Elliot pictured above had only one antler, 3 points. He hung out at the feeder morning and evening and was given a pass. This year I only saw him one time in person and again he only had one antler but with 4 points. I can't believe he made it thru the season.. I originally thought he had broken off or something but I was wrong. Next year he will have to go! lol I know you are looking for good bucks but I had to.
