My 4yr old finally pulled the trigger this weekend!

She got tired of waiting and this buck was wreaking havoc on all the other deer so she asked if she could shoot him.

He is a 5.5yr old buck that lacks a little in the antler department. He whipped 2 other bucks right in front of us and tried to run everything else off.

He got broadside at about 40 yards and she let him have it. He humped up, got even madder and started pawing the ground. So, I told her to shoot him again and she did but, she only had a neck shot. She hit him perfect and he jumped up and laid his ears back. I gave her the go ahead one more time and she hit his lungs. He walked off, laid down and expired.

I guess he was possesed? I examined all 3 shots and they were right where they should be? I have never seen anything like it but, it made for an exciting hunt!

My Dad is in a tripod and covered up with bucks but, "the one" has not showed yet. We are keeping our fingers crossed.

I am about to head back out myself as she wants to skin her deer with our ranch manager right now!

Awsome, tell her everyone on here is proud of her. You have to be proud too. Congrats to both of you. Was she bouncing off the walls after she shot?

Congratulations to both of you. I taught my daughter to hunt at that age, I always told her... "you kill it, you skin it"

Oh yeah, she is on cloud nine! This is buck #4 for her total. 1 last year and 3 this year. She said this was her meanest though!!!

Dad had a chance, took the shot and everything went wrong it sounds like. He said he was fired up and at the shot the deer moved backwards some and he thinks he pulled it a little. Both of those combined equals a cut brisket but, Zero blood. There was a tiny bit of hair, a tiny bit of fat and that is it. We let the dog loose and he went about 500 yards and started doing circles. I am certain he was trailing the deer and not blood. We never found the first spot of blood.

I am sure he will be back for round 2!

                          Here he is.
