    New Muzzy Broadhead

I know season just ended and it's a loooong time till October but I've been thinking of increasing the FOC on my fairly light weight Black Eagles and going to a really aggressive large cut expandable.

I was thinking about the Grim Reapers but this guy looks really interesting from Muzzy. I like the all steel feral, trocar tip and of course the Muzzy name means quality. It's a fixed 1" two blade with a 1&5/8" expanding two blade.

    Thoughts...?

The mech blades are old Rocky Mountain Gator blades. Theyll lay back down on exit. You won't get a huge exit. They make a good entrance.

Ten four. Don't forget Rage owns muzzy and the Rage design was first brought forth by Bruce Barrie of Rocky Mountain Archery. Those gators first came out in the late 90's. I killed 3-4 deer with em and all the exits were small. I retired em to rabbit heads.

Hmmmm....I had no idea that the big R owned Muzzy.

All I know is the big R, Hornady and Yeti excel like no others in marketing...oh and let's not forget Mathews...All of them know where to invest their money.

Looks like I'll stick with my plans of trying the Grim Reapers after a FOC increase.

The "big r" is owned itself.
Or used to be I'm sorry. I forgot they split off from Field Logic.

I shot an 8pt and a doe with the Muzzy Hybrid this year.

It's a super accurate broadhead....Man, it flies good.

Here's some pics of the doe I killed with it. Big entrance and exit.

Entry hole was huge....Pic as she laid and washed off.

Exit hole was big was well. Didn't think to take a pic cleaned off though.

                Here's the exit....

Can't see the exit. Did you measure it?

I didn't measure the exit but it was a lot bigger than I expected.
I remember it was a pretty good hole though.

The arrow blew through her real fast.

I am impressed with the Grim Reaper Carni-Four. If I still lived in Richmond I'd let you look at them up close and see what you think.

The exit wasn't as big as the entrance from what I remember.

I like the broadhead but there could be inconsistentsy on the exit hole size. I think you would be good exiting through shoulder blades or so but a less than perfect shot through ribs may not be as good on the exit, depending on blade contact. IMO

Dang Brandon, I bet you could of followed that blood trail from space.

Kevin, thanks for the offer, I'll look into them.

I shot some pigs with them they blew right through them short blood trails they don't make as big of a exit hole as the executioner are the rage hypo but they are strong heads and seem to get the job done I think I'm going to start shooting them on regular basis the only thing is if you shoot them into a target make sure it's a target where the head with exit out are the blades with break pulling them out !!
