          I agree not much to do in Longview, that I know of. As mentioned above, oil museum in Kilgore...... I haven't been there since I was a kid, but it seemed cool then. Martin creek lake in Tatum, also haven't been there since I was a kid. Used to have a long bridge to an island that had hiking trails and camp sites. Don't remember much about em though.

              well sorry I missed this...

              Dudleys is some dang good Cajun food. I have Cajun buddies that come up and I take them there. they all say the Dudley knows what hes doing.

              The Catch is a new place that will pile up some seafood on you for a decent price

              Pizza King is good...but it is pizza

              you mentioned hiking and parks.

              There is a pretty good walking/hiking trail through town.. mostly use it during the day. There is also Tyler State Park not that far away. really good hiking and mountain bike trails.
