I'm gonna start building the kids an elevated. playhouse in Feb. I plan on it being pretty large by my standards, 8x8 or 8x12 enclosed house with partial wrap porch/balcony, slide, swings, etc.
My original plan was to sink the posts and set them in concrete. Problem is, im in Midlothian where we have thick rock about 6" below the surface. I'd either have to go through a few post hole diggers or rent an auger. If I go that route ill prob hire someone with equipment to dig the holes.
Talking to a buddy he recommended that I just make a box frame and let it sit on the ground. It would be rigid, as im going to have the 'house' portion elevated about 8' and prob enclose the bottom.
What does the greenscreen recommend? Sink the posts or let it sit on the ground...?
