Thought I found a place in Marfa but had to book through airbnb, it started wanting me to upload a photo and who knows what the next question(s) was/were
No **** thanks, don't have facebook and no desire to have to jump through hoops just to rent a vacation place

Guess it is time to think about plan B, maybe go to Big Bend some other time


And don't have a RV and not interested in a tent for a week either

There's 6 hotels and a golf resort nearby. I did a week in the tent. I was also 24 and invincible.

To the OP, sorry to hear you're having a hard time booking a place. Alpine or Ft. Davis may be your best bet, with day trips into the Bend. Sorry, man.

The Gauge Hotel in Marathon is a great place to stay if they have openings. Avoid BB May and June....hottest months of the year there. Went there mid May one year. It was 120. The wind felt like GOD's hair dryer. Early Spring and Late summer have always been the best times for me. I love that place!
