Lets put this in terms hunters can relate too.

I have a 10 year old buck coming to a food plot. He was regular until he turned four. then he dropped off the radar for two years, came back for a year and then dropped off again. How old is he now?

If you are going to go down that road, you might as well assume that the $100 originally taken out of the drawer was the profit obtained from selling a $1000 item that only cost the company $900. Therefore, using this logic, the store lost nothing.

No. Based on that theory, the $30 was from the sale of marked up merchandise, so the actual "cost" to the store under your scenario was the store's cost of the merchandise that was sold to generate that $30.

            $100 lost!

Me too! Would just one of you 3rd grade math wizards please explain the process you went through to deduce that the store lost $200.

How could the store lose the $100 that was stolen PLUS the $100 that was given back to them?

I noticed that even an Aggie got it right!

Stole a hundred and everything else was off that stolen hundred. Including the change. What the technical dollar value is could be debated all day. But we may have gotten paid 65 in stolen money so if you want to deduct that you can but I call it a double dip. Cut off both of her hands.

Quite simple really. Just like the age and score threads this one was compared to. Skim over the answers and go with the majority!! Seemed like a good idea and usually works out[emoji106]

She stole the $100 and bought the goods with it; She didn't steal the...aw, never mind. SMH.
