saw a woodpecker put 23 in his body at one time. then fly off and return 2 min later to repeat. each time i counted about 20-23

I witnessed this same thing near Ballinger, only he was actually picking corn off the spinner plate. Walking out from my tripod I found his " stash " up in a hole in a mesquite tree. I guess he was saving them for hard times.

Bingo! I figured it would slow down around the 30 mark it, but it kept going and going and going. I counted 74 pieces that went down the hatch.
