Don't mean to pry, but as an owner of a gutter business in the Temple, TX area, I couldn't help but notice your post!
A few things you DEFINITELY need to ask when getting bids:
1. Make 100% sure that the are going to install their gutters UNDER the metal/drip edging (when applicable)!!! I cannot stress how important this is! A lot of gutter guys out there do not, only to save time on the install. This will allow water to get behind the back of the gutter and fascia if not done, and will cause $100's-$1,000's worth of damage in the long run.
2. Make sure you ask where their materials are coming from!
I highly recommend Senox products, which are all we use! If they are buying from ABC, then expect poor quality. Their aluminum and gutter components are junk. Thin gauge, lime green on the inside (which is visible and very distracting from a two-story viewpoint), and only 20yr material warranty (Senox is 50yr).
3. Ask if they are using T-straps!! These are 100% crucial in order to keep your gutters looking level for years to come. If they (or wedges) are not used behind the gutters, they will sag, not drain properly, and look like they are about to fall off the house after a few hard rains.
4. There is a time and place to utilize leaf screen. I only recommend this when trees overhang the roof! Sometimes, they create more maintenance when not used at all.
5. As like anything else..."Expect what you pay for." Sometimes, the lowest bid isn't the best thing to go by. Make sure you ask for references! If the gutter company you choose is a few weeks out, then that is probably because hey are reputable, do good work, and homeowners don't mind waiting for quality!
Are you bumping because you can't get bids or are they to high? Give Arturo a call I have been using him for about 5-6 years. 469-363-4042 Tell him Steve gave you his number.
