I recently took advantage of the thread about Foxpro's on sale and bought a new Hellfire. My first sit was yesterday afternoon starting at 5:00 PM, just behind our home. The controls were a bit tricky as I didn't read the instructions (I know, we don't need no stink'in instructions) but I managed to set off some coyote howls and a cottontail squeal. Not thinking it would happen that quick, I was checking e-mails and looked up at the speaker and a nice Tom was sitting only 10 feet away from the call. It completely took me off guard and I was not at all ready. Quickly, I put my AR out the window placed the dot on him and squeezed one off. Down went my first called-in critter in only five minutes.
Didn't think I would see anything else but I stayed and called a bit more. Just before dark, a nice fox came by and stayed about 5 yds. in the brush, never offering a good shot. I am now hooked on predator hunting.
