    Set Up an Antler Trap

I'm not sure if this will work or not but I thought I would give it a shot (no pun intended). Built this antler trap hoping one will be eating here when the antlers get loose. Just an old piece of a hay ring, a few holes drilled, 4 eye bolts, 3 pieces of rebar and 4 bungee cords with paracord to tighten.

Does the winch serve a purpose or was it just attached to the piece of metal you were using?

Also, is the base of the vertical tube attached in some way?

I would bet its what is used to hoist the feeder above it that's not pictured

I saw one on Northwoods Law TV show that looked real good. The guy ran T Posts every 5 ft or so for 20 yds and then ran 3 ft high chain link fence along it and poured corn all along it.

Correct. My winch up feeder is connected to the vertical bar and winch.

                    Looks good.

Does anyone have an success stories setting one of these up? I've seen a few setups, but never success.

For me...not yet. I've tried it a few times with the cattle panel in a "W" but no success. Thought I would give this a try if any bucks are left. You know what they say...There are no deer inn East Texas.
