any advice on calling yotes or cats in and what calls to use? I have a FoxPro and a couple of decoys.
There's probably not a right or wrong but I never stop calling if I'm targeting cats unless I use a hand call. I don't want them getting sidetracked on their way to the call. Cottontail, jackrabbit and bird in distress all work for cats.

Same for coyotes but it also depends on the time of year as far as sounds go. During breeding season it's better to speak coyote to them. If they're not pressured in the area you're calling any distress sound should work equally well.

I have a shockwave w/ the fox jack decoy that I'm still learning the ins and outs. I've been using the foxcast features.

I pretty much do this, if I'm using a motion decoy I like to put behind a sparse- spindly bush, it seems to perk up the curiosity instead of having them stop and stare.
Gary Roberson, I'm a jealous man, when I was a kid I read every book, article, or hint Murray Burnham ever put out, one of my childhood heroes.

Killed cat in my avatar calling 2-3 mins of cottontail and then waiting 5-10 mins. Repeated for 45 mins.

That tactic has worked well for yotes too. I've always had better luck in the evening but most calling is at night for me. I will say I've never brought in anything in the morning time.

Tagged for later. Bought a foxpro and don't have a clue what I'm doing.
