Levi Morgan, back to the Dark side

saw where he went back to Mathews, boy I bet that cost them a pretty penny.
just like all other Pro sports anymore, loyalty has been long forgotten.

I never get the whole "loyalty in pro sports" misnomer. PRO means it's for MONEY. Should he stay with one manufacturer over another for sentimental reasons? Does he have a personal connection with a manufacturer? All production bow manufacturers make a good product, shoot what you like....or what pays you the most money.

Loyalty?! In a business like archery?! I don't blame him at all. His "loyalty" is to his family.

For the money he got paid I'd shoot anything. I'd throw my arrows if I had to. Does anyone actually believe he went with Elite because of the bows.

im not knocking him, if given the same situation I would have done the same thing im sure. you have to do what's best for you and your family.

              BUT....

it seems like there wasn't as much brand jumping as there is now.
there was loyalty to the brand, and the brand was loyal to them.

no, it was a bigger paycheck (I assume), again... not saying I wouldn't have done the same thing in that situation.

he went to elite thinking he was going to get a lot of say in bow design in production, supposedly that didn't happen and he didn't like the way he had to tune his elites for tournaments compared to his Conquest and Apex's, plus yeah Mathews offered him very good$$$....take that money and run

He is the Michael Jordan of archery. Elite got out of him what they needed. They are now a major player...having said that anyone wanna buy my elite bows, and now I need a new Mathews sticker for my truck.

Heard he signed a 10 year deal with Mathew's. He says in his post that it wasn't about the money, but we ain't dumb. Money has a big part to do with it.

Jesse Broadwater went to Mathew's as well. He was with Hoyt for something like fifteen years. Since they are the 1% of archers that are good enough to make a living doing this thing we all love, they get to make decisions like that. They will go with the money usually. They may not have to, but it would be like turning down a big promotion because you like the guy that works beside you to much to leave.
