Streaming and Amazon Tv vs Fire Stick

Just moved into a new place and plan on streaming. Internet is currently 60 mb/s but within the next month its suppose to bump up to 100 mb/s so from what I've read on here and elsewhere we should be good on speed.

Next is I've decided to go with the Amazon route and was curious on whether to do the Amazon TV or the Fire Stick?

Leaning towards the TV for the Living room to plug directly into the wall to have a hard connection instead of wifi. Sounds smart or not worth paying the extra 40$?

    Thanks guys

Also it seems like amazon is running skinny on Amazon TV's? Or am I not looking in the right place??

I have the fire tv along with 5 fire sticks. They all serve their purpose, but if hardwire is available if go with the tv.

Also plan on getting a HD antenna to pick up the local channels so that should cover all the bases if I'm not mistaken

I was told that with sling tv you only watch it on 1 tv at a time, is this true?

I have 3 firetvs and 1 stick and would recommend the tv. I stream Vue and the channel guide lag with the stick is annoying at best. If you are a Prime member the Amazon platform is even better. Good original programming and we like Amazon Music as well.

This past weekend my wife and I cut the ties with the cable company. It took us several months going back and forth and what we wanted to do but in the end it came down to the cost savings. By doing what we did we will save $100 per month on cable and not really give up all that much that we cannot live without.

I went out and bought several HD antennas to hook up to the TV's so we can get the three major networks plus Fox and a few others.

I then bought two Roku sticks and hooked them up. At the same time we did sign up for the $20 dollar Sling tv package which gives us a bunch of channels, the most important one for us being ESPN, ESPN2, HGTV and a few others.

So far, it works great. Yes, I do have occasional flickering of the TV screen with the HD antenna when I am watching the news or a major network program but it is not bad or a big annoyance.

We already had Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu so all combined, we have more than enough TV choices and will save a bunch of money as well.

Regarding an earlier question about being able to watch Roku on more than one channel at a time, I do not know that because I have not tried it. I also need to figure out how the Roku app works as well from your smartphone, tablet or computer.

We are very happy to cut the cable ties!

If you select the Sling Blue option you can stream on three devices at once.

                      Fire TV vs Firestick
                      Fire TV can/has...
Ability to hardwire into your Ethernet
                      Can reproduce 4K programing
                      More RAM

Can anyone share their experience with streaming with these devices that live in the "country"? More specifically those that are using a line of sight wifi provider.
