Shot this ugly dude last week. Do you think he was damaged during velvet or just a freak? I believe there are 2 deer on our place with this gene as they are almost identical.

Injury due to possible fighting or running into a tree limb, but if there is another like him you would have to think genetics. I still think that with the holes in the damaged area it was fighting or a tree limb.
