I know most deer leases in Texas has major hog problems. I bought a Jager Pro trap 3 months ago and have taken over 120 pigs. This thing will take care of your pig problems. Youtube Jager Pro. There are 21 pigs in the picture.

It would be nice to have, but hogs around here already know better to go in traps.

The pig we are catching are trap shy too. The gate is 8x4, so it is a large opening, and we camo it with limbs. It works awesome for us. Our goal is at lease 250 pigs on 5k acres. hopefully more.

Did you buy the entire trap or just the gate and camera?

It's pretty interesting how so many of the adult pigs stay out of the trap for so long. Heck I'd have hit the button way to soon. Lol

There's a trapper on an adjacent property to ours who claims to have trapped 224 pigs in the last 12 months. Now I don't claim to know how reliable that figure is, but we have gone from seeing multiple sounders totaling as many as 80-100 pigs to practically zero.

                  Just sayin'...................

Cool trap but something more is going to be needed. Australia has developed a poison that kills them. Being tested a the Kerr now.

I bet those numbers are pretty accurate. We have a trapper for one of our research contracts and he has caught over 300 in the past year. He uses the Jager Pro system as well with multiple cameras to ensure total sounder removal and then brings in dogs for extras that may be near the trap.

Read about that several years ago--trying to perfect a delivery method that "non-target species" aka 'coons can't get into.

The land owner where I hunt bought one in March of last year. We don't have a huge problem numbers wise and they come and go throughout the year.

I run the trap from my phone and we've caught around 40 since buying it. Not a huge number but considering what they do to his corn fields it's enough.

We did have two large boars that wouldn't go in the trap. One would run with a group and hang out near the gate but never go in. We had to get them with dogs.
