    Fireworks Effect on Game Animals

I wonder how the deer were effected by last nights fireworks ? Like here at my house there is about 500 acres that is surrounded by subdivisions and seems like thdy all use heavy fireworks last night. My worry is fires starting that 500 acres is virgin live oak ,blackjack, hickory, and post oak. Lots of leaves on the ground. If it would chase out the hogs be nice. I got 2 weeks to wait before i can get back to work in pasture clearing brush, killing cut ants, and building fences. The youth and muzzle loading season be over then and i wont chase any deer out over other hunters....Andy

I have hunted close to houses for the last 10 years. I have not seen an affect on deer movement/behavior.
Matter of fact, we saw coyotes last night at 1 am.

I hunt urban deer a lot of the time. Last night was like a war zone until 2:00am with fireworks. Woke up at 7:00 and looked at my backyard feeder. All the regular mature WT bucks were there and a herd of axis. Did not look like all the noise bothered them one bit.

Hunted yesterday evening and only the sky bursts above the timber spooked the deer. About 500 yards from the houses but the sky bursts were much closer. No chance for fires here in Cleveland and Magnolia due to the rain and fog.

I live close to a "rural" subdivision, Generally deer come basically in groups to my feeder around the times it goes off. For the last few years on new years eve I have noticed (w game cam) that these groups and lots of singles check the the feeders constantly throughout the night. I had on buck that never left the feeder for more than 30 mins all night-it was the only time this has ever happened. Maybe some of the deer need to feel secure, or are looking for safteywhen the fireworks go off. ??? Also not one pic of a predator on new years in the last several years

Had 3 bucks in the back yard at daylight. Didn't seemed bothered and I popped a bunch of crappy fireworks at 1am.

I have seen deer have no reaction to gunshots so I don't think fireworks bother them

I saw 9 (10 if you count the one I saw across field on walk in) this morning and there were fireworks going off since about 4 yesterday

500 is big enough for game to feel safe.
