I have a Beagle that I have been trying to have bred. After 3 tries still no puppies. I have tried 2 different studs. I also went to a vet this last time to run test to make sure she was ready. We have never witnessed a tie. Any ideas?

I'm not a vet but might have missed window if you never seen them hook up. Or she could be unable to have puppies or not very fertile. There needs to be a lot more info told in order for an answer to be given. Like how long was she with the male. Did the male attempt to breed her. Would she stand for him. Etc

How long did you leave her with the breeder? I always bred my bitches at least three times, two days apart. While she may appear to be in heat for up to three weeks, it's only during true estrous that she will conceive. There are a lot of other factors that could influence that, and if the breeder never witnessed the "tie" then she was likely never inseminated.

I fully believe that there is a problem is in getting the deed done. There has never been a tie seen at either of the breeders. Both are experienced stud dogs. I am not sure that there has ever been penetration. She spent a week with the stud the first time. Two weeks the second time and 3 days the third time right after she was tested by the vet.
I have never run into this before. I my past we did our best to keep the dogs separate and you would still get puppies.
