    Predator Hunting Tips

So for Christmas I got a remote predator call that I've been wanting and can't wait to try it out but I have never used/hunted with one. Can anyone give me any tips on how to set up, best time to hunt, anything that would help me out. I am in limestone county and the coyotes are everywhere! I have an open pasture with some trees and ponds. I appreciate any input.

    - set the caller up at least 30 yards in front of you and call into the wind or with a crosswind. Coyotes will typically circle downwind before coming all the way in.
    - Coyotes typically come within about the first 8 minutes, cats typically take about 20 mins
    - When coyotes are in multiples they typically come in fast, like they are in a race to get there first
    - spend a little more money and get a Bog-pod bipod, it's awesome. Be sure to get the camo version http://www.midwayusa.com/product/296...ack?color=Camo
    - early morning, late evening, and night time are best but you can call them up any time
    - watch YouTube videos about predator calling to get an idea of what to expect
    - prepare to be hooked to the point that you can't wait on your next trip!

I always set up with a crosswind or with the wind blowing in my face so I can catch them before they hit my wind. I like mornings and evenings but if I had the option to hunt at night like y'all do in Texas that's what I'd do.

hunting with a partner will increase your success and may also decrease your success

hunt side x side, 1 guy with AR the other with a shotgun and buckshot . That way you have 2 guns to cover close and far shots. A bipod or shooting sticks make shooting much easier and cut down on movement. Tie a feather to stick and position near the caller to act as a visual attractant

2 guys equals more scent for the coyotes to smell
