If the shot is as describe there are two possibilities. First is a very dead deer just past where you saw him last and the arrow was stopped on the off de. thats most likely the case.

Second is a hit stopped on the on side and much less likely since the arrow wasnt flopping.

In either case, its time to trail him.. If first cases, hes dead. if second case, he needs a rifle shot.


EDIT, i see you are on the trail. thats a dead deer!
