Well, looks like we're going to be blanked again. Hunting - especially bowhunting - ain't a slam dunk. It's been a tough few days of hunting for us. Out of six hunts, I saw a total of 3'deer (with a combined age of 4-5 years!) and we were completely shut out on 4 of 6 sits.

That said, it's been a fun few days hanging out with Mo and the CDLC family! We'll do it again soon!

Keep an eye out for Video Journal episodes featuring my "Deer Camp Series" and I also shot footage for a new "Skinning Rack Series" that I'll put up over the next couple of weeks!

That's tough hunting but then that's why it's called hunting! It will just make success that much sweeter. Thanks for taking us along.

Thanks for taking us along. Excellent as always. It's rarely about the killin'!

The time with our kiddos is always the best part of the hunt. Great hunt MM's.

Paw In Law told me that one morning after I was complaining about not seeing any deer for a couple of sits. That was in my younger days, before I realized the hunt was secondary to the memories I was making.

Better luck next trip Middleton's, we appreciate you taking us along.

No doubt. It was an awesome few days with Michaela - time that I appreciate even more now that she's in college, about to graduate and likely to be changing her name in the not-to-distant future. My frustration is that I so badly want her to have hunting success, and especially from the Killin Tree. Sometimes she has to remind me that it's rarely about the kill for her, either.

Tell me you didn't cry on that day when it happens!
(nothing get's to you more than watching your daughter walk that aisle)

I promise you that you are doing it right... I have so enjoyed tagging along through your videos with the girls and your campfire series. They really stir the memories / emotions.

Her success will come soon, and it will be oh so sweet to experience. I have John's video from my first good bow-kill on our place of SW of San Angelo. I have never watched it. It would be neat to hear his take on how things played out that day.
