I shot the white tail and my dad shot the fallow. Theese were shot at a lease that my dad gets invited to every year for a father and son hunt. It is 600 acre high fenced , there are not any huge white tail but some decent ones, mainly axis and fallow. I have shot fallow the two previous years so I was wanting an axis or whitetail for the freezer. Didn't see any axis so this decent whitetail showed up and decided to take him .

we had my inlaws over last night to eat some backstrap and my motherinlaw commented that she liked this whitetail backstrap better than the axis backstrap that we had killed a few months back at Boaz Ranch in Barksdale. But I had played a little trick on her and we were realy eating Fallow backstrap, none could tell much of a difference I did notice a hint of sweetness in tasted compared to whitetail or axisComment
