    Crossbow Scope?

We bought my father a crossbow for xmas. I have never owned one. It came with a red dot scope. Not sure if I like it. What do you all have? Normal multi reticle scope? What do you suggest?

I have used both. Prefer the red dot. Seems to work better for me in low light conditions

I bought a Zeiss XB75 and a Vortex XBR (which are "crossbow" scopes), but I'm still using an old Leupold VXIII 1.5-5 illuminated and have killed a bunch of game using it.

I've also used an Eotech quite a bit (but not the "crossbow" version) and like it too.

I will probably end up selling the Zeiss and Vortex, because I don't really care for a "busy" reticle.

I put the Nikon ballistic on mine. It is a really clear scope and stays zeroed . I've had it for three years now.

I have the Hawk 3x32 IR SR and when i get another crossbow it will have the same scope on it. Its the best bang for your buck.

I'm using the Nikon bolt. Works as intended for my needs. When I upgrade to a better crossbow in a couple years, it'll have the Hawke.

Good for kids to be able to get on target fast too.

I don't like busy reticles for my daughter. So I got her this one.

You can get this if you already have a scope.

that's what I have on my Kodabow, best tool for a crossbow in my honest opinion, in the cold and shooting off-hand while hunting, trying to hold that 20,30,40 reticle can be tricky, bought that HHA tool and it was a game changer

My favorite crossbow optics are the Hawke XB30 like said above

you can find some Horton Hawke scopes on ebay for 20-60$ they were made for the older Horton models before they went out of business, very clear glass, effective and one hell of a bargain....

I bought the Nikon Bolt. For the money it is an excellent scope. Clear and reliable.
