What scope is a good choice for a 338 win mag? Big Game/Africa hunting.

2x16 would cover it all


Even a 1x8 if you don't want the high magnification

There's a great many to choose from so you should include a budget.

If it fits your budget, I'd say a 2-12 or 3-18 VX-6 Leopold with the CDS target knobs. The 3-18 can be had with zero stop on the vertical knob and an illuminated reticle for about $1100. Cabalas ran it on sale at Thanksgiving for $950 if memory serves.

A step down in price would be a VX-IIIi.
