Started looking into a few outfitters in Kansas for next year. From what I have read it is a draw only but the draw in sorta Guaranteed. Never heard of a Guaranteed draw. Anybody been and know? Also, anyone been and can recommend a good outfitter?

I use Jim Call of Call of the Wild Outfitters. Been hunting with him for 12 years. He has some good farms leased and will treat you right. Do a search on me and you can see the deer I shot this year. If you are planning for the 2017 season, you only have about 4 months to figure out where you want to hunt. You can only get 2 units to hunt in and the units must adjoin each other and you list those units when you apply for the draw.
Good Luck

It's getting harder to draw, about 4 or 5 years ago there use to be 700 or so left over just in my unit, now there are none. Blame it on hunting shows. I live in MN in the 90's and used to go to Iowa every year with no problem, the unit I went to only had 80 NR bow tags and me and two friends would get them every year, till about 2000 2001 then it started getting one every other year(point system) now it's 4 or 5 years. But I'm one of the lucky ones I have a lifetime license in Kansas.
You can DIY in Kansas, if your bow hunting some of the public land is great if your gun hunting forget public land. If fact I hunt on 300ac my friend owns and one year I wasn't seeing much I went to public for the first time and missed a 140 class 10 min after I went up a tree at 1:00PM, came back to the same stand the next morning and shot a 130 class.Last edited by Bassdeer; 12-22-2016, 05:34 PM.
